If you want a peaceful retreat, then Hydee House fits the bill. We had a lovely, peaceful family break, which was just what we needed. The games room was a definite hit with the younger ones of our group. The welcome pack was lovely as were the home made scones, thank you Maria & Jim for all your local knowledge. The weather was beautiful which enabled us to spend a lot of our evenings sitting in the garden and chilling. Thank you for a lovely break **

We had a lovely but soggy week at Hydee House. For our families first time visiting Scotland we couldn't fault our accommodation. From the most amazing views to the morning wake up by the cows who like to say hello. The house itself is exceptional with plenty of space for everyone, comfy beds and a games room we all loved I would definitely and in fact have recommended this property for your break. The drive to Glasgow or Edinburgh are quite long the views along the way make it worth it. Be prepared for the Scottish midges though - they're everywhere.

Hydee House was everything we could have wished for and more. The views from each bedroom, the different reception rooms and the fantastic games room made it a truly dream holiday. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to book again — hopefully it won’t be too long!
