Lovely lodge in countryside near Dumfries. The area is very peaceful and quiet but within easy reach of Dumfries.The lodge was very clean, spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable (king size rather than double as described).There is a lovely farm shop and restaurant about a mile from the lodge.Wilma, the host, was very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the sheep and goats. It's a great place to sit and chill but there is also lots to do in the surrounding area (castles, abbeys, walks, Robert Burns house etc). We saw ospreys at Threave Castle.We would love to return.

We had a short break in this lovely little lodge, breaking a long journey to a holiday further north in Scotland. The owner was very welcoming and the lodge had everything we needed. We enjoyed seeing the sheep, lambs and goats in the field outside.

Excellant accommodation, and location, very quiet,peaceful, Wilma &wullie very nice hosts, nothing too much trouble, welcome pack, all mod cons, accomadation very clean ,spacious, comfortable, would recommend nice for couple to relax. The Wi-Fi was ok, but sometimes slow, also needs a quest comments book, and maybe some info on things to do &see.otherwise lovely visit,would stay again.👍
