The historic cities of Edinburgh, Carlisle and cosmopolitan Glasgow are easily reached within an hour. Dumfries and Galloway boasts rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches with many beautiful gardens to explore. A great location for exploring - so many places of interest just a few miles in any direction. The cottage had everything we needed and more! There were so many thoughtful extra touches from the welcoming fire, the fluffy towels and dressing gowns and the welcome basket with all we needed to settle in. The hot tub was great and well positioned to star gaze. Our pet felt welcome and the enclosed garden was perfect - as was the extra space for playing football! A fabulous find and great hosts.

Lovely place, good for enclosed garden for the dog.Hot tub and fire were lovely on cold evenings.Quite location was really nice if you don’t mind a drive to the shop/pub.Welcome package topped off a great cottage.

We had a great stay here. It’s so quiet and tranquil and it was a great view with the farm animals right outside the window. Hot tub was a bonus and so was the log burner. The owner was very helpful and friendly and the starter pack for us and the dogs was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely book again.
