A fantastic base for exploring a beautiful part of Scotland. Whithorn has all the basics you need from a small village. Museum, priory and round house on the door step are worth a visit. Plenty of beaches near by and all the roads were very quiet. Port Patrick, Isle of Whithorn and Galloway forest all worth a visit.

Bruce Cottage has been modernised at some expense, and is very nicely decorated and equipped. However, it is quite small, with limited outlook on to a quiet street. It was adequate for a few days in fine weather..

Absolutely loved this cottage!!!!Well equipped and lovely garden. We definitely will return to Bruce cottage and highly recommend it to others. The owners kindly left a lovely hamper for us and our dog, we really appreciated this.The owners also left an information guide on the table of the surrounding area and recommended eating places. This really helped us to get the most out of our holiday.Thank you for making our stay wonderful.
