Very comfortable cottage with all the home from home comforts. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Clear instructions given for heating and cooker etc. Good location but Whithorn is a quiet little place. We would recommend the Station Bar for food and the Whithorn Trust for coffee and cake.

Myself and my husband know the area very well, weve had lots of holidays in dumfries and galloway for over 20 years. Bruce cottage was just amazing, so comfortable, bed was comfortable, place was very clean and had everything u needed. Lovely walks round the cemetary, good shopping in Newton Stewart, Kirkudbright, Wigtown which is our fav haunt. Fantastic afternoon tea at The Hive in Garlieston u must go there. Lunch at The Wigtown Ploughmans we were very disappointed and wouldn't return, cold tea when we arrived there don't think they have a kettle!!!! We had a day at the Shopping designer Outlet at Gretna, been here last Dec, a great selection of designer shops. Weather was kind to us on our weeks stay, bit of rain some nights, but overall we couldn't complain. We will def be returning to Bruce Cottage, we are on the hunt for a house within the next year in dumfries and galloway.🤞

We had a lovely long weekend in this cottage. So clean, comfortable, quiet and cosy with the Woodburner. The garden is perfect when you have a dog. Great location for doing the coastal walks around the area. Highly recommend.
