The two bedrooms provide a mix of accommodation with a double and a super king-size double that can also be configured as a twin on request. The open plan living area comprises a kitchen and dining area, along with a sitting area, and a rear door opening to the garden. The stunning hilltop location of this cottage affords superb open views from the garden, across the nearby loch and on to the Nith Valley beyond. With fishing, walking and mountain biking in abundance, this delightful cottage is ideal for a family and friends wishing to explore this lovely part of the country.

A former Royal Burgh, the town of Sanquhar sits on the River Nith in Dumfries and Galloway. The name derives from the Gaelic 'Seann Cathair', meaning 'Old Fort' and at the southern end of the town there can still be seen the ancient ruins of the castle. Robert Burns was a frequent visitor to Sanquhar and wrote many of his best known nature poems while inspired by the surrounding countryside. The town today boasts a selection of bars, shops and cafes, a 9 hole golf course, a swimming pool and the A’ The Airts Arts Centre, which showcases a wide variety of arts and crafts.

Note: Due to lambs in the surrounding fields, please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times when outside.
