In a scenic area, this spacious detached cottage has all the main living areas on the ground floor, and makes a great holiday base. It offers easy access for the less mobile, as well as a walk-in bath with bath seat, and a single bed, which is adjustable. Patio doors from the living room to a large decked area overlooking the garden.
The Galloway coastline offers an abundance of sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore. Dally Bay close by has a beautiful sandy beach where porpoise and dolphin can be spotted. The Potting Shed is set on the owner’s working farm and many outdoor activities are available nearby. These include walking, golf, sea and freshwater fishing, pony trekking, water sports and cycling.
Several beautiful gardens are recommended for a visit including Logan Botanical Gardens, which benefit from the mild climate of the Gulf Stream. The quaint harbour village of Portpatrick is nearby with restaurants, shops and a golf course, whilst the town of Stranraer is approximately 8 miles with a further range of shops, restaurants and pubs. There are many coastal villages to explore in the area. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. Beach 2 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 5½ miles.

Very well equipped and cosy cottage. Friendly hosts. We watched sheep, pheasants and Little birds feeding their offspring in the nests on the wall of the house. We loved the quietness. A wonderful contrast to the bustling, noisy city we come from.

Comfortable cottage. A good place for exploring The Rhinns. Lots of coastal walks and gardens to visit. Plenty of shops in Stranraer. Friendly, helpful hosts.
