Set on the Machars Peninsula, this beautiful cottage for five is set among rolling countryside and boasts panoramic views and its own private hot tub. Enjoy a tranquil break in Scotland by heading off on foot along walking trails that lead through the glorious landscapes. Visit Kilsture Forest (3 miles), a beautiful woodland with several walking routes. Wigtown (4.5 miles) is a quaint town and is known as ‘Scotland’s National Book Town’ as there are several book shops and it is home to an annual book festival. The extensive Galloway Forest Park is 14 miles away and has many walking and mountain biking routes, and has Dark Sky status, making it ideal for stargazing. For days by the coast, the charming harbour village of Port William is 6 miles away.

Park up on the driveway and step into the porch, where you can leave your walking boots. The contemporary and well-equipped kitchen/diner is bright and airy, as skylights flood the space with light. Cook up tasty dinners and enjoy eating together as you reflect on the day’s events. There is also a wood burner to fire up to keep warm when there is a chill in the air. The lounge also has a wood burner, along with sumptuous seating and a Smart TV. A large window makes the very best of the views.
