Booked The Leveret for a week (late September/October) as we knew Aberlady to be a great place for walks, bird and wildlife watching and we knew it had such great bus links to Edinburgh, North Berwick and beyond - means a break from driving. As there's just the two of us we didn't need a big place and The Leveret fitted the bill perfectly. Comfy, cosy and cute with everything you need (and more) for a happy stay. Some decorative touches reflecting the name of the apartment. Not just a kitchenette with a two-ring hob and microwave - this has a four-ring induction hob, an oven, fridge with ice compartment, toaster, microwave, and a Nespresso machine! Plus a washer/dryer in the capacious hall cupboard. Nicely laid out lounge/dining area with wood burner (there is also central heating) and a proper bed-settee. Double bedroom (comfy bed) with a great wardrobe and tall drawer unit. And a very nice shower in the bathroom. It's a perfect size for a couple or two friends travelling together. Since the side tables will fold up out of the way there's also room for a cot for a little one or two in the living room or the bedroom. Nice touches too with some eggs, home-made granola, coffee pods and milk left for us. Also other staples stocked in the kitchen.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Turned out to be an excellent base for us. Whether you're into birds, landscapes, photography, coastal pursuits, historic buildings, museums, garden centres, cycling, eating out, and many more activities, this would be a great base for you.To get to the front door of The Leveret, first go through the wooden door in the timber fronted archway. Once through that, the door to the apartment is on the right - just one step into it. The accommodation inside is all on the level. And you do have access to a shared garden. There's no dedicated parking space for the apartment but it's not hard to find a nearby spot on the street. We didn't have any parking issues and found the street to be very quiet. Helen is a very welcoming host, if you've any queries she's happy to help.

We loved the location of the Leveret for our holiday in East Lothian and the owners are nearby and offered us a lovely warm welcome. Aberlady has everything you need nearby and we could walk everywhere we needed to which made it very relaxing. All in all a great break.
