Quietly nestled away in the Scottish countryside on a working dairy farm and with the owner living on-site, this detached, bright and spacious holiday home is all on one level. It offers panoramic views over the surrounding farmland and countryside over to the Ochil and Campsie hills, making Lawford Lodge an ideal location for families, couples and friends to spend time together at any time of year.

The large open plan living space incorporates a well-equipped kitchen, fitted with quality appliances and a range cooker, and a dining area which is ideal for a celebration meal. Welcoming and bright, the living area is inviting with comfortable sofas and makes a good social hub. Leading off the kitchen is a handy utility room with a sink and a good place to keep outdoor clothing. There are lovely views of the surrounding countryside from all windows, and the three attractive bedrooms are bright and well-presented. Patio doors lead from the kitchen onto a decking area and the large, secluded garden with children’s play area provides plenty of space for all guests to enjoy.

As Lawford Lodge is situated on a working dairy farm, the surrounding fields have cattle, calves and sheep (and lambs in spring) to see. By prior arrangement and when available, guests can enjoy a tour around the farm or visit the wildlife duck pond. Guests can also bring their horse or pony, by prior arrangement, as there is a field in front of the lodge and two equestrian centres close by.

With so much to do at Lawford Lodge, you may not want to leave! However, if you do wish to explore, there’s plenty to do in the local area. For a great family day out, visit The Falkirk Wheel on the Forth and Clyde Canal. It’s only 5 miles away and has lots of activities to suit all ages and tastes including boat trips, canoeing, bike hire, a waterpark, canal and woodland walks, café and gift shop.

Falkirk town centre has lots of places to eat and drink, events and activities all year round. The shopping centre has a great selection of independent boutiques, gift shops and high street names. Local attractions and visitor centres include The Helix, which is home to The Kelpies: the largest equine sculptures in the world, and Callendar House and Park, a 14th-century French-style château house with a working Georgian kitchen.

The bustling cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are within 40 minutes’ drive and the local railway station has park and ride facilities so you can enjoy the cities and visit one of the many concerts and festivals without the stress of parking.

After a day out, you’ll be looking to relax and unwind - why not sink into a bubble bath with a glass of fizz? Lawford Lodge is a perfect retreat for that special family holiday. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

    Lovely spacious home with all the necessary equipment The area is nice and quiet but close enough to the local amenities. Great location for exploring central Scotland. We would definitely return here and reccomend it.

    Stayed here with 5 family members,two of whom were toddlers.There was plenty of space, facilities were great,setting on a dairy farm was lovely.Children got to visit local amenities like the Falkirk Wheel and the Bo'ness&Kinneil Steam Railway and the Scottish Railways Museum which they enjoyed so much they visited twice.Altogether a very enjoyable family holiday.
