The lodge accommodation comprises of on the ground floor there are four bedrooms a Bunk bedroom with shower room across the hall, Two double bedrooms with a Jack and Jill Shower room, master bedroom with En-suite shower room. On the first floor there is a well-equipped open plan kitchen diner, a cozy lounge, and balcony to sit out and watch yachts and boats coming and leaving the marina. At the back of the property there is Hot Tub and a picnic table at the front of the Lodge. Please note that you will be required to bring towels for the use of the hot tub.

This lodge has a lot of potential but unfortunately does not live up to it. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I don’t want other people to experience the discomfort. We have no direct contact for the owners and it’s on a site in which the lodge used to be owned by said site, but no longer is and they had no contact details so couldn’t let them know that their lodge had literally flooded. The radiators were dripping, the skirtings were blown from the water and going mouldy, bathroom doors didnt close, no locks on the doors, in one of the bedrooms with the jack and jill bathroom the carpet had flooded and actually squelched. With this came an awful foosty smell which went through the whole bottom floor. They need to replace the beds, mattresses, pillows etc. Such an uncomfy sleep! The sofa is low down and was hard for some of my family members to get up off of. Theres no washing machine so a week long stay with 9 of us was hard going! It’s in need of a large overhaul! The hot tub although a great addition, isnt easily accessible with no side light, you have to walk around the house in the pitch dark from the front door which is in view of all the other lodges, round the back to get into the hot tub. Theres a couple of bits where the path goes up and down steps which is hard to see in the dark and slippy as this time of year. The location is great and highly recommend the oak tree inn for lunch!

The area was excellent. The house itself was ideal for our group. The only negative was some of the items were looking very tired and the couch was not the comfiest but apart from a few niggles the overall stay was fantastic for our needs and am more than sure we will use Ptarmagin Lodge again.

A truly wonderful stay at this homely cottage by beautiful Loch Lomond. A perfect holiday location! The house has everything we needed.
