Sunnybank is a detached property, situated in a perfect elevated position, with a large enclosed and mature garden, and fabulous views. It is a lovely holiday home within the Scottish Highlands, located a short drive from the village of Torridon.
The living room is spacious and has an outstanding original fireplace with a wood burner. A large TV sits next to the window, so you can choose which one you want to sit and look at. Upstairs, there is a spacious double bedroom with original croft house style wood panelling that has been cleverly painted white to give the room a lovely bright feel. The twin room is spacious, and both bedrooms benefit from excellent views across Loch Torridon towards the mountains. There is also a separate toilet upstairs between the bedrooms. Sunnybank is a gem in one of the best Scottish Highlands locations. You won’t regret staying here.
Through the living room there is a large kitchen/dining room, which has a door leading out to the garden, with space for those muddy boots and coats. In the garden there is a shed to store cycle equipment. The cottage looks out across Loch Torridon, and is at the foot of the Torridon mountains where you will find many walks. Take a stroll along the shore and spot seals, dolphins and otters, or hike up the range to see red deer, pine marten, and both golden and sea eagles. It’s a nature lover’s paradise.
The drive to the cottage is uplifting, going deeper and deeper into the Scottish wilderness. Torridon is most famous for the celtman!, an annual extreme triathlon. Shop 5 miles, pub 7 miles and restaurant 5 miles.

For a peaceful week with spectacular Scottish landscape views on your doorstep Sunnybank was perfect. Sunnybank was clean, warm, with everything you need in the good quality kitchen. The downstairs bathroom and upstairs loo are both small but not that small to be a nuisance and the shower is excellent. The garden is lovely if you get the weather to sit out. From the doorstep you can walk East to Torridon along the lochside(stopping for excellent coffee and cakes at Torridon Stores and West to Wester Alligin or further to Diabaig again mainly on the lochside. Wonderful views both walks. Restaurant at Diabaig is worth a visit. Diabaig bay in the sun is truly beautiful. There is also a walk from Diabaig towards red point with excellent views. Bo and Muc does excellent food and beer. Shieldaig smokery is great for smoked salmon. We also saw an otter in the bay less than 5 minutes walk from Sunnybank.

This is a lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. Exceptionally clean and well organised. So quiet, relaxing, perfect to de-stress. WiFi a bit patchy but who cares? Be prepared to slow down, gently mosey about, take in the wonderful surroundings, while staying in a beautiful little cottage.
