Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This is a stunningly furnished, Scandinavian style self-catering log cabin sleeping up to six guests in the Croftside area of Aviemore.
Equipped with everything you could need for your special holiday, it is situated just a 15-minute walk from the centre of Aviemore, where you will find a wide range of shops, cafés, restaurants and leisure amenities nearby, including a swimming pool and cinema. The property is partially surrounded by a covered decking area, accessed from the spacious living area where you can enjoy a drink or something to eat after an energetic day out.
There is no shortage of things to do and see in the area. Rothiemurchas Estate, near Aviemore, is a wonderful area to explore, with a range of activities on offer. Visit a brewery or follow the Strathspey Whisky Trail; take a trip on a restored steam train; see bison, elk, bears and wolves roaming free in the Highland Wildlife Park; visit Britain’s only herd of reindeer; go white water rafting or clay pigeon shooting or hit the slopes in winter for skiing, snowboarding and dog-sledding. The choice is endless!

2 adults and 2 OAPs, we have just returned and had a wonderful week. The lodge was spacious, had all we needed. Took us a little while to work out heating as dials but no markers. The lodge is a bit tired and some furniture broken (draws and knobs on draws) but the beds were comfy and we all slept well. Bathrooms were spacious too. Layout in first twin room is odd, no lamp by bed as sockets are on the other side of the room so could of done with a torch or something so you don’t hurt yourself in the middle of the night getting up to use bathroom. And no hanger on wall like the other room so you could hang a cardigan or hoodie. Kitchen had all we needed except freezer space, we like to buy local meats etc and sometimes bring goodies home so a small freezer compartment would of meant we could of frozen ice packs to bring things back 11 hour drive - with stops) The only other issue we had was parking when the other guests were in lodge next door, they parked right next to the lodge we were in so we had to park the other side (no biggy but limited mobility for of our party So closer to the lodge the better) just seemed a little inconsiderate to the other lodge users a simple sign or notice would solve, before we left there appeared to be 2 cars next door but they had parked either side so we literally had to park outside their front door. Overall we said 10/10.. I would certainly recommend and would definitely go back.
