The cottage was in a great location for everything you need. 10 minutes walk to the centre and shops and restaurants, and 15 minutes drive from cairngorm mountain. The radiator in the lounge kept going off all the time but the rest were warm. It felt cold for this time of year and not a lot of stuff left for the log burner. The utensils in the kitchen needed a good clean and the cups also.Apparently now the new company have taken the cottage over the price per week has doubled and we would definitely not pay those prices.

This was our 5th stay at the wonderful Uaine Cottage. We love everything about this place. The cottage itself is ideal, having everything we need. The location is perfect. We have always found it to be reasonable priced. Sadly this is no longer the case. Silver Glades have taken over the managing of this little gem and the price has more than doubled. We have booked elsewhere for November 2026.

The accommodation was excellent as it was the previous two stays. However, Aviemore restaurants, bars and cafes have become very pricey. ( approx rise of 20% since last year)I was told ( by an Aviemore business owner) that the big hotels started these rises for"London money' and the small businesses then followed suit. When local people each have a discount card that can be used for all these establishments, it's clear holiday makers are being ripped off.
