Situated in the pretty village of Ballachulish, with amazing views from the front up towards some spectacular mountain scenery, Rocky Mountain View has been furnished and equipped to a very good standard to ensure a comfortable and relaxing holiday. Only 1 mile from historic Glencoe, this lovely, semi-detached cottage makes an ideal holiday base from which to explore this beautiful part of Scotland, including Lochaber, Argyll and the western and northern Highlands. The area is surrounded by spectacular scenery, mountains, lochs and hidden glens, and there is an abundance of wildlife.
Glencoe’s famous rugged mountain range is extremely popular with climbers and walkers, whilst mountain biking, skiing, golf, sailing and forest walks are just a few of the many activities available. Loch Leven, which is just a short walk away, boasts a variety of water sports, including kayaking and canoeing. The Nevis Range gondola and the Jacobite West Highland steam train are a short drive away in Fort William, and from which you can view some of the most spectacular scenery on offer. Fort William, the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’ is just 13 miles away and boasts a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.
Take the short crossing on the Corran Ferry and head for Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly point in Britain, or the beautiful island of Mull. The area is steeped in history, and coupled with the magnificent natural terrain has been used as a backdrop in many well-known films such as Harry Potter (Glenfinnan Viaduct) and Braveheart. A short walk will take you to the Isles of Glencoe Hotel and Leisure Centre with its swimming pool, and a regular bus service is available. A holiday at Rocky Mountain View is where many happy memories will be made. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

We booked this property only a few hours ahead of arriving due to unfortunate circumstances with another property on the Isle of Mull. Edward and Marianna were so accommodating in getting the property ready for us at such short notice. It was beautifully clean, warm and welcoming. We had a fantastic week here and would highly recommend a stay.

Had a lovely time, the cottage had everything you need to be comfortable for your stay. Plenty of parking space on the drive, every appliance you need (you don't need a dryer the clothes dried in a couple of hours on the line, and it had been snowing!), all the TV. channels you may need and the beds are extremely comfortable.Met the owner Edward on the second day, lovely man, he popped round to make sure we had what we needed, only there a couple of minutes but thought it was nice of him to come and introduce himself.Would recommend to anyone, location in relation to walks,the loch and of course the mountains is perfect, and not forgetting the local craft shop a short walk away, bought my good lady a new tweed handbag and my daughter a locally made necklace.Loved it and am sure everyone who stays there will also love the cottage
