Dating back to the late 1700’s, the cottage is one of the oldest properties in this quaint fishing village and was totally re-fitted in 2007. Ivydene Cottage offers exceptionally comfortable, deceptively spacious and modern self-catering accommodation within a traditional listed exterior, and is an ideal base for a relaxing family holiday in the Highlands. The cottage is conveniently located only a 2-minute walk from the beach and a short walk from shops, local eateries and inns. Inverness is a 30-minute drive.

Friendly welcome by the owners, property much bigger than it looks on the photos. Great little village with a shop, bakery, pub and post office (unfortunately the cafe and hotel were closed due to the season). A couple of quirky museums and a "pirate" graveyard. The journey from the A9 to Cromarty passes through some lovely little villages including Fortrose where we visited the cathedral ruins, watched dolphins from the coast, and had a lovely walk to the Fairy Glen Falls. I would definitely visit again if I can cope with the 420 miles drive again.

Fabulous holiday accommodation. Extremely clean and comfortable. Cromarty is just beautiful and in an ideal position for touring North and West . Ullapool makes a great day out. Take some provisions with you though as no shops open Sunday Lovely coffee by the harbour and the bakery superb Highlight of our week was a trip with Eco ventures who really looked after us and dolphins galore Have already booked for next year

Great cottage in a great position in the village and well equipped. Welcoming host showed and told us all we needed. We had super weather which was a bonus. Definitely recommend and would visit again
