This was a return visit as we stayed the same week last year. The accommodation is very comfortable as a whole, however the rear double room may need a new mattress. Otherwise no complaints. Owner came to replace the outside light which was done within a reasonable time given the location and access to services. Weather was mainly dry and the rain came during the night or safely passed us by. Not nessarily lots of sunshine but enough to make a pleasant stay. Midges were an issue this year on one particular day due to the humid temperature and dampness in the air but not an issue the previous year. Views fabulous when it was clear and we saw the Waverly steam ship passing by on a rather long detour to the South West of England to avoid rough seas at Lands End. Also 3 submarines but the Orcas we really wanted to see were sadly lacking. Would I recommend definitely if you like remoteness but there is a Morrisons Local in Gairloch, pubs and take aways, pharnacy and a farm shop too. A new Co-op is being built and should be open end of the year. Made full use of the garden, having a Border Collie who liked to 'sheepy creep' up to the fence and bark at the sheep, but she wouldn't harm them. We only travelled out two days. One visit as far as Aultbea and the other to Red Point.
