Located in an elevated position with spectacular views over Melvaig and the Minch overlooking the Isle of Skye, Harris and Lewis from the conservatory as well as the bedrooms. Otterburn 1 is a semi-detached traditional cottage recently upgraded with new kitchen and bathroom. Situated in Melvaig on the west coast, 15 miles from Gairloch in Wester Ross. A 20-minute drive from Gairloch. Views over the Minch to Rona, Raasay and the Isle of Skye.

Cottage très confortable, isolé, entouré de moutons, biches, cerfs et mer. Hôte très réactif, en revanche notez bien que la ville la plus proche est à 25mn.

We Had very relaxing time at the cottageis very remote single lane for 10 miles views are brilliant loads of wildlife many types of birds including white tailed Eagles

Location was brilliant and we enjoyed the solitude and the views across the coast.We felt that a small table in the conservatory / utillity would be great as we wanted to spend the time in there during the day because of the viewWe would suggest updating the information and clarifying particularly the info re the route to the beach as we tried but couldn't follow instructions given, but we were not sure if the building work cut across the route now. I noted the previous comments about the building work prior to arrival but this didn't affect our stay (in fact the activity was a source of entertainment) and we believe once built will not block the view (I looked at the plans as reference was in the local magazine) and will have a green roof so will blend in.We were there for 7 days and were disappointed that we had to ask for dishwasher tablets (recieved 4) and only had 1 black bag for general rubbish so had to buy some for our stay - if these items were freely available I am sure people would only use what was necessary. Overall our stay was peaceful and relaxing which is what we wanted.
