Stepps Cottage receives high praise for its stunning views, peaceful yet convenient location, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the spacious, well-equipped accommodation and the relaxing hot tub, with many highlighting the property's proximity to local attractions and the novelty of the nearby steam train. While a few minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improved garden security are mentioned, these do not detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences. The cottage is especially recommended for families and dog owners seeking a memorable Highland getaway.
Guests generally found the cottage clean and well-presented, though a couple of minor issues such as outdoor table cleanliness and some tired furniture were noted. These did not significantly impact overall satisfaction.
The location is consistently described as beautiful, peaceful, and ideal for exploring the Nevis range, with excellent views and easy access to local amenities. The proximity to the railway and canal is seen as a highlight.
The cottage is praised for its spaciousness, comfortable accommodation, and well-equipped rooms. Some guests mentioned the living area could get hot and a few pieces of furniture were a bit tired, but overall comfort remains high.
Facilities such as the hot tub, games, and books are appreciated, though there are suggestions for improved garden security and minor maintenance (e.g., frying pans, chipped plates). The hot tub's availability at all times was occasionally an issue.

An absolutely fantastic and unforgettable holiday! The cottage was perfectly located for exploring the Fort William area. It was peaceful and offered stunning views. It is only a few minutes' drive from some of the most iconic attractions, including Ben Nevis, Neptune’s Staircase, Glencoe, the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and Mallaig. The daily view of the Jacobite steam train and Daisy was an added bonus. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the thoughtful touches and top-notch facilities made us feel right at home. The whole process, from booking to check-out, was exceptional, and Gregor was a superb host with excellent communication throughout.
