Heron Lodge is a fabulously furnished Canadian lodge set in the Craigbreck Wood near the village of North Kessock in the Scottish Highlands. Its high quality fixtures and fittings and prime location for a holiday full of peace and quiet, this is an ideal lodge for a break with friends and couples. The village has a line of buildings along the shore, with a hillside behind them. The rest of Kessock is scattered over the hillside and through the woods. Beauly Firth is teeming with wildlife. Dolphins, Redshank, Oystercatcher, Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Curlew and Shelduck and the Common Seal can be seen. In North Kessock, a small marine Wildlife Research Base monitors dolphins and seals through sightings as well as underwater microphones. Pop in and have a listen!

The host welcomed us on arrival to and gave us some information about the lodge and the area. The lodge is beautiful, clean and extremely well equipped. The location is great for exploring with several historic sites and walks etc nearby. The host provided an extensive list of suggested places to visit and recommended restaurants etc which was very helpful. It is also only about a ten minute drive to the centre of Inverness with shopping, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. We couldnât fault our stay in any way and hope to stay at Heron lodge again in the future.

They had their own forest for kids to explore and beautiful log cabins. It was like being in a Hollywood movie set and listening to Steven Spielberg say (Action) I couldnât believe my eyes when I arrived. Thanks for a wonderful experience Helen & David.

Helen and David are absolutely fantastic hosts; nothing is too much trouble, but you'd hardly know they are on site as they are so discreet and allow their guests total privacy to relax.
