Kincraig 2 miles. A wonderful detached cottage in rural woodland on the edge of the village of Insh, just 2 miles from the Highland village of Kincraig. Lovingly decorated and furnished, this Kincraig cottage has been built in an eco-friendly style using some of the stone from the original cottage on the site, which means that the walls are up to a foot and a half thick in places. South facing, with open views across the fields and hills where you can see buzzards and deer, this Kincraig cottage is full of light and is ideal for a family holiday in the rugged and beautiful Cairngorms National Park. At this Kincraig cottage there are three bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, offering flexibility and choice for the whole family. The living accommodation at this Kincraig cottage is enhanced by the open fire which means that you can curl up on chilly evenings with a warming drink and reflect on your day's activities. Outside this Kincraig cottage is a large enclosed garden, perfect for the children to let off steam, and is just a two minute walk to Manse Bay on the shore of Loch Insh where you can see whooper swans and many other water birds and is a wonderful place to have a dram of whisky and watch the sun go down. The cottage felt like home, the garden was lovely. The house was so private never heard a thing all week. There are lovely walks, the water sports centre just a few minutes walk away. So much to do within short driving distance but house felt so secluded and private. The only down side was the wifi was not good and it with the weather being great and so much to do it wasnât a problem but if the weather had been different it could have been an issue

It was a very well equipped, light and comfortable house. Having a second snug living room upstairs gave us options for a reading or games room. We liked how welcoming the house is with its contemporary decor and furnishings. The attention to detail from the clear instructions to operate the TV etc to the hooks to hang up stuff in the large entrance area just made living in the house easy. Well done Jennifer. We had some fabulous cross country bike routes and riding in the Caledonian forest always brings a sense of peace and tranquility. We had a lovely meal in the Rowan Tree Country Hotel and the Station cafe in Kingussie was the best! We would happily book again. Many thanks Wendy and Dave

We saw deer, badgers, hares, owls and lots of other birds from the lounge which was a highlight. The beds are comfy and we slept well. Only issue we had was with the dishwasher with a loose shelf but that was minor. Well equipped and all we needed for a good week away.
