Guests say

Craigellachie Cottage receives glowing praise for its peaceful, rural setting, immaculate presentation, and well-equipped interiors. Guests consistently highlight the beautiful views, cosy atmosphere, and the warm welcome from the host. The cottage is ideal for couples, small families, and dog owners seeking a tranquil escape, with easy access to both Nairn and Inverness. Wildlife sightings and a well-kept garden add to the charm. Minor points raised include the lack of local shops and some suggestions for additional storage or maintenance, but these do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience.

Multiple reviews describe the cottage as spotlessly clean and very tidy on arrival. Only one mention of mould in the shower room was noted, but this was an isolated comment among otherwise excellent feedback.

The cottage's secluded countryside location is highly praised for its tranquillity and scenic beauty, with convenient access to Nairn, Inverness, beaches, and woodland walks. The only drawback mentioned is the absence of nearby shops or pubs.

Guests frequently mention comfortable beds, sofas, and a cosy atmosphere, especially with the wood-burning stove. A few guests noted personal preferences regarding mattress firmness, but overall comfort is rated very highly.

The cottage is described as very well equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen, fast WiFi, ample firewood, and all essentials provided. Minor suggestions include sharper kitchen knives and more storage, but these are exceptions rather than the rule.

The host, Richard, is repeatedly commended for his attentiveness and helpfulness. Guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as a prepared fire and extra firewood. While some guests mention these gestures, it should be noted that such gifts or extras are not guaranteed.

A perfect little cottage in a perfect part of Scotland. The cottage is perfectly located in the countryside and it's brilliant for a small family who just want to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The cottage is small but very well presented by it's owner. It's got everything that you need but I was so relaxed by both the area and the cottage that I didn't watch any television throughout my stay, and I didn't miss it. Excellent holiday, excellent cottage and the beautiful Scottish Highlands, what more can you want.
