Craigellachie Cottage receives glowing praise for its peaceful, scenic location and cosy, well-equipped interior. Guests consistently highlight the immaculate cleanliness, beautiful garden, and abundance of wildlife, including deer and birds. The cottage is described as comfortable and ideal for couples or small families, with a welcoming wood-burning stove and thoughtful touches from the host. While a few minor issues are noted, such as limited storage and the absence of local shops, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Multiple reviews mention the cottage being spotlessly clean and well-presented on arrival. Only one review notes mould in the shower room, but this is outweighed by the consistently high praise for cleanliness throughout.
The cottage's tranquil, secluded setting with stunning views is highly praised. Its proximity to Nairn, Inverness, and local walks is appreciated, though some guests mention the lack of nearby shops or pubs. Overall, the location is considered a major asset.
Guests frequently describe the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with particular mention of the beds and sofas. A few note that the beds could be improved for those with back issues, but most find the accommodation very relaxing and homely.
The cottage is described as very well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen, fast WiFi, and ample firewood. Minor suggestions include sharper kitchen knives and more storage in the second bedroom, but overall, facilities are highly rated.
Guests repeatedly mention the host's attentiveness and thoughtful touches, such as preparing the fire for arrival and providing extra firewood. While some guests received these gestures, please note that such gifts or extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

A perfect little cottage in a perfect part of Scotland. The cottage is perfectly located in the countryside and it's brilliant for a small family who just want to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The cottage is small but very well presented by it's owner. It's got everything that you need but I was so relaxed by both the area and the cottage that I didn't watch any television throughout my stay, and I didn't miss it. Excellent holiday, excellent cottage and the beautiful Scottish Highlands, what more can you want.

The cottage was a perfect base for exploring parts of the Highlands. Plenty of beautiful woods with 15-20 minutes drive with excellent views and parking, as well as being close to Inverness for shops. The garden is beautifully kept and lovely to sit in with a quiet cuppa and take in the birdsong. Ample space on the drive and the cottage itself is well equipped with everything you would need for cooking and cleaning during your stay. My partner and our two dogs found it perfect for what we wanted and would definitely look it up again if we came back to this area.
