Distances! Also no privacy when you sit in the garden.

I found the place fairly basic – the shower room felt rather like a caravan, with the rickety shower and the tiny basin. The armchair and sofa were squeaky and not particularly comfortable and the throws rather tired. A sharp knife would be good, as also a heated towel rail, as suggested by another reviewer. But above all, please, please, if your wifi is really poor, say so in the description. There’s nothing wrong in not having reliable internet, as long as you say so. Not saying so is unfair to people who actually need internet access, as I do. Here it is just about adequate for plain emails and (mostly) listening to audio and that is it. Once or twice I had to use my phone as a hotspot, which is extremely heavy on data. This frustration probably coloured my view of the place. The instructions to get to the place were useless. It’s actually really easy to find and here are proper instructions: From Kinlochbervie follow the road to the right up to Oldshoremore, passing the Kinlochbervie Hotel. Continue on the same road - do NOT follow the sign to Oldshoremore to the left – and after just under three miles there is a small phone mast and then a sign to the left to Drumnaguie and Polin. Follow that. After less than half a mile, reaching Drumnaguie, pass a white house on the right and you will then see four wheely bins on the left in a passing place and to the right a steep drive down, marked 165.

Everything you could need for a week away. Bed is comfy, shower is decent. The only thing I would be wary of is if you're going there to work from home the Wifi is too slow for Google Hangouts but is ok for browsing the web. I realise that might be a niche requirement.
