Guests say

This summary has been generated using feedback from guests who have stayed at this property

The Cabin on the Isle of Skye receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from hosts Debbie and Barry, often mentioning the delightful homemade bread. Despite a single report of external aesthetics and midge issues, the majority celebrate the property's cosiness, modern amenities, and ideal location for exploring Skye.

Cleanliness

Guests consistently describe The Cabin as immaculately clean and well-presented upon arrival, contributing to a very high cleanliness rating.

Location

The property boasts beautiful views and is considered well-situated for exploring Skye. One issue with an incorrect postcode slightly affects the score.

Comfort

Reviews frequently highlight the comfort of The Cabin, mentioning the cosy atmosphere, comfortable bed, and the warmth of the wood burning stove.

Facilities

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and powerful shower. However, comments about the lack of midge screens and the heat inside the cabin during warm weather suggest room for improvement.

Thoughtfulness

Many guests express gratitude for the thoughtful touches like homemade bread and a welcome pack. While these gifts are warmly received, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Dunvegan, a community on the northwest coast of Skye, features a mix of old stone and modern homes, as well as several retail establishments and lodging options. Dunvegan Castle, located within a mile of the village, has been continually occupied by the Clan MacLeod from the 13th century. The renowned Three Chimneys Restaurant is only five minutes away by car, while the very well-received Old School Restaurant is only ten minutes away on foot. The Cullin Mountains are also nearby, and their impressive spires and other rock formations are a major draw for rock climbers. The Talisker Distillery and the town of Portree, which is centred on the island's natural harbour and features a wide variety of lodging options as well as the popular Sea Eagle tours departing from the pier, are just two of the many tourist attractions on the Isle.
