Lovely cottage with excellent views of countryside in all weathers. From start to finish made to feel welcome. Superb welcome pack and Ann Mackay was helpful friendly welcoming and gave us milk which we had forgotten to buy. Rooms are warm and comfortable. Bed was excellent. Greeted by local sheep and deers most evening's. Main road too busy for walking but not noisy. Would recommend for anyone who wants to visit loch carron and surrounding areas. Ignore the weather forecast just visit the location. Scotland at its best 👌 👍

I stayed here with a couple of friends and the location was beautiful, woke up almost daily to red deer in the garden, the house was spacious clean and well equipped with everything plus more than you needed. We were able to explore large areas from here including Isle of Skye, Ullapool, applecross plockton and glen elg from here, I will definitely have it on my list to return to. Also Ann is a lovely host and we really appreciated the welcome hamper from her, she will help with anything required

Just back from a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage! Set in stunning scenery, with everything you could want to be warm, relaxed and comfortable.Ann is a wonderful host, and has thought of everything - lovely welcome pack, and an amazingly organised and well-stocked kitchen with every pot, pan, and utensil so that you can make any meal you wish!We were very lucky with the weather, so got out and about every day - everything is roughly an hour away by car, so we did Isle of Skye, Plockton, Torridon, Glenelg, Applecross, to name but a few!The cottage is actually just outside Lochcarron, in Coulags, so you need a car, as the road out front is quite busy to walk along and Lochcarron is around 4 miles away - although there is a scenic railway line within view of the cottage, if you prefer to see the area by train. The deer in the field at the rear of the cottage were a delight, and hopped over the fence to graze in the garden most days.Came back relaxed and refreshed - we would definitely stay here again if in the area.
