The location is highly appreciated for its beautiful scenery, wildlife, and access to local amenities and historical sites, making it an excellent base for exploration.
The cottage is frequently described as comfortable and cosy, with super comfy beds. However, one mention of less comfortable lounge furniture due to health issues slightly lowers the score.

Just arrived home from a fabulous week at the paddock. Myself, husband and 2 teenage sons had a wonderful time. The cottage is perfect, warm and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The beds were all super comfy to. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgable about the local history, which was great for my family as we love exploring historical sites. There is a shop in the local port, but only a short distance to a supermarket in Tain. We saw so much beautiful wildlife, starting with a orca whale in the moray firth! Harbour seals at lock fleet in the garden there was a family of deer and a badger we spotted one evening. We even had a magical experience of seeing the norther lights from the cottage one evening, recommend downloading the aurora watch app. I could keep going about how lovely it really was, Honestly cannot wait to return again next year (fingers crossed)

Perfect for what we wanted. Directions were spot on, accommodation exactly as described, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Owner was helpful, informative and a joy to chat with. A minor issue was dealt with in minutes- literally! I have no hesitation in recommending the Paddock as an excellent place to stay

The cottage was welcoming, clean and cosy. The views are stunning, not only around the area but also from the cottage. Had the opportunity to meet the owner who provided a wealth of information about the cottage and surrounding area. The beaches are fabulous and enjoyed by myself and my dog. There is a lot to see and do: too much for one visit.
