The property has a very cosy kitchen-dining area sitting room and is beautifully furnished and finished after a full renovation. It has a relaxed sea-side feel which is ideal for friends or family who want the perfect get away to recharge. There is no back entrance to the back garden, access to the garden is via the front of the property by going around to a gate
Portknockie is a great place for walkers and those who love to take in the local scenery. The neighbouring village of Cullen, about 2 miles away, is very much worth a visit. The local delicacy of cullen skink (a thick soup made with smoked haddock, potatoes and onions) is very historical and a great dish to try. You can take a boat trip on the Gemini Explorer to search for dolphins in the Moray Firth from Buckie, a working fishing town about 4 miles away. Or, further afield at Spey Bay, you will find the popular Scottish Dolphin Centre and Nature Reserve. The famous Speyside Whisky Trail is also within easy reach and should not be missed.

Turned the key & entered a spotlessly clean.& homely cottage. A well laid out kitchen fully eqiiped with all white goods, utensils & very generous & much appreciated welcome pack. The theme continues into a relaxing living area leading to 2 lovely bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Outside the peace & quiet was great for chilling out. The locals are extremely friendly. There is a quaint harbour with beautiful coastal walks to Findochty & Cullen. It is ideally situated to explore the Moray coast. A very homely cottage which we will definitely return to.

Fabulous cottage. We enjoyed our holiday here. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, great power shower and a thoughtful welcome basket. Can not fault it.Stayed one night and booked for next summer as we don't want to miss out on such a marvellous place.Great communication with host.
