Please note: The property is situated at the end of a half mile farm track that can become rough.. Shelterstone is a charming traditional stone cottage with walking access directly down to the sea. Originally two fisherman’s cottages, which have now been combined, Shelterstone has been sympathetically renovated and restored by the current owner. It offers spacious and modern accommodation whilst retaining many of its lovely and unusual original features. The main living area is simply stunning. Divided by a massive stone chimney breast housing a large wood burning stove, the lounge/dining room has beautiful redwood floors and ceiling and deep silled windows that drink in amazing views out to sea. Outside is a pretty stone terrace/BBQ area leading onto a large lawned garden. There is access down to the coastal path and bay below. Three good sized bedrooms (one en-suite) makes this an ideal venue for a family holiday. This is wonderful cycling and walking country, with miles of coastal footpaths, woodland walks and trails right on the doorstep.

Shelterstone is in a wonderful spot in Covesea with a lovely sea view and plenty of wildlife round about to keep you entranced. The house is incredibly well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Hopeman and Lossiemouth are easily walkable to if you are fit and able but be aware the coastal path is narrow and steep in places so could be less good for those less able. It is a shame the windows in the garden viewing pod have blown so the view is not as good as it could be but to be honest the weather was so good we were happy to be out and about instead. I would recommend Shelterstone for a peaceful beautiful holiday.

The cottage location and views out of this world. If you want peace and quiet this is the place to visit. Cottage well equipped, bed & sofas comfy. The TV a decent size, great stove and toast on chilly evenings. . outdoor space great for dogs and secure. Everything available for sitting outside and the lookout great space. Track up to cottage takes a little care and needs a bit of attention on entering. But you get the hang of negotiating the bumps after a few goes. I wouldn’t let this put you off. Such a rewarding cottage at the end with plenty of parking and private location. Very short walk down to the beach and had to myself most days. Visit Roseisle, Brodies and plenty of garden centres. Eats try Royal Oak Cullen, Humble Burgers Elgin
