We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Boathouse 2 weeks ago. It is very quirky and delightful with all of its twinkling lights. We were fortunate to have exceptional sunny warm days throughout our stay and spent most of our time sitting on the decking overlooking the pond. Everything there suited our needs perfectly especially the peace and quietness. However we feel that the owners need to be aware (as has been mentioned in a previous review) that the terrace wooden decking and particularly the railing are desperate for a repainting. We were also a little disappointed that there was no 'Welcome pack' as was stated in the overview of The Boathouse. Maybe just me but I always look forward to the Welcome pack as a start to a good holiday. Having said that there was chocolate bars waiting for us on the bed and in the fridge and we had done a small shop on the way there so not a problem just a little disappointment. Would we stay here again - yes most certainly we would.

Lovely cottage in a very private and quiet location. However central enough to explore the West Coast, Loch Lomond, Glasgow (easy by train), and many other areas.A special mention for farm manager Graeme who was extremely helpful and insightful.
