Situated on the Isle of Cumbrae this ground floor apartment is situated only a short stroll from the beach with tropical palms fronting the promenade and yachts moored out in the sheltered bay. From here you can explore the charm of a seaside town with cafés, shops, bars and bistro. A haven for wildlife, Cumbrae attracts migrant birds from around the world and the flora of the island is equally varied with a visit to the island’s Marine Research Station with museum and aquarium a must. Millport is also the home of Europe’s smallest cathedral and Britain’s narrowest house. An ideal location for cycling, walking and golf and the National Water sports Centre offers courses to suit all aspect of water-based activities. The main Newton Bay offers sheltered anchorages and secure moorings. The national waters ports centre is no longer on the island.

This was my second visit to this property. As a solo traveller I found it was more than adequate for me.The name Osocozee reflects the compact size and if I were on the larger side I would probably look elsewhere. Apart from that it is situated in the quieter part of Millport if you prefer a quiet break but a wee pub and a Chinese Takeaway are a very short distance away.There are a number of cafes along the road to the pier with Garrison House the local museum and cafe.When I was there a plethora of classic cars were on the island, this seems to be a yearly classic car rally as I saw some last year too. If you are interested in that you could do your own research.

The apartment was fantastic. It was clean, tidy, and really homely, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach, shops, cafés, and pubs. The host was responsive and helpful with any questions. Check-in/check-out was quick and easy. Would highly recommend staying here.
