Located in the picturesque conservation village of St Fillans on the shore of Loch Earn and in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, this is just the most perfect location for relaxing and leaving the stresses of every day behind.
Attached to Lochearnside House where the owners live, the lodge was designed to make the most of the outstanding views with the contemporary open plan living space situated on the first floor. A cosy seating/dining area overlooks Loch Earn, and from the kitchen area, fitted with quality appliances, you can enjoy views of the hills while preparing your meal. You can even wake up to great views from your bedroom which is on the ground floor and has a kingsize bed and French doors which lead to a sitting-out area where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of fizz. Loch Earn is located just across the road where you can enjoy use of the foreshore and private jetty.
Give your car a holiday too as there is much to do on foot from your front door. The local shop has a café and there are opportunities to indulge in some bistro style food or fine dining along with a good selection of wine and whisky. There are walks to suit all abilities from a gentle stroll along the loch side to more strenuous walks in the hills, and you can join the old railway route leading to Comrie. The local golf club, Sandy Lyle’s favourite small Scottish golf course, has a challenging nine hole course.
This area is the hub of many outdoor activities and ideal for tackling many of the Munros and Corbetts in the central highlands. Water sports, cycling, golf and fishing are all available in the local area and there is an abundance of wildlife to admire including deer, red squirrels and otters. Look out for the ospreys on the loch in season.
St Fillans and the surrounding area is steeped in history and folk law of clan battles, outlaws and fairies with many historic houses, gardens and castles to visit. To complete your Scottish heritage experience, visit one of the local whisky distilleries offering tours and tutored tasting sessions. Lochearnside Lodge is a good location from which to explore one of Scotland’s most scenic areas and a base to tour central Scotland. Perth, Stirling and Dunfermline are all within an hours’ drive. Shop and pub 150 yards, restaurant 200 yards.

Lochearmhead house was a lovely cosy cottage and the views took our breath away. We enjoy walking...and had some lovely varied walks around the area. A large comfy bed...and hot bath rounded off the day nicely.
