We had a lovely week in Aird Cottage. Even the day that it rained, it was nice to sit on the window seat and look out over the sea and watch the clouds change over Arran. The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was plenty of hot water and lovely showers. The chalet was also warm and very comfortable. The owner, Stephen was very helpful, sending us information about the house and the area. We walked out to Turnberry Lighthouse from the carpark, just off the road into Turnberry. Beautiful views over the golf course and out to Ailsa Craig. We had a lovely walk round the gardens at Dumfries House too. We took the bus into Ayr, the bus stop is just the next street down. Every council seems to have different recycling requirements so we googled to find out what went in each of the six bins. Good job you have a large garage to keep them in! The washing machine and tumble dryer are also in the garage.
