Guests appreciate the well-equipped, modern facilities, comfortable furnishings, and the cosy atmosphere enhanced by a wood burner. While some guests mention noise from neighbouring properties and the lack of soundproofing, the overall experience is highly regarded for its tranquillity and charm.

The location is consistently praised for its superb setting on the harbour front, proximity to the beach, and accessibility to local sights, making it an ideal base for exploring the Ayrshire Coast.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with mentions of cosy living spaces, comfortable beds, and a homely feel. The presence of a wood burner adds to the comfort level, although some guests noted noise from other properties.

The cottage is described as well-appointed with modern kitchen and shower room. However, a minor detail about the lack of a large sieve or colander and comments about noise suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Loved the cottage and the people and the location.

  • Colin Baines

Great Location as a base for visiting the Ayreshire Coast. Fantastic cottage well fitted out to a high standard, lovely location on the harbour front, with great pub and Cafe on hand.

The renovations of this and neighbouring properties would have benefitted greatly from sound proofing. The external noise, but more importantly the noise from the properties around this cottage, made for a disappointing stay. The location is superb especially for a dog. The cottage was identified as dog friendly but they clearly were not welcome - not sure people were either.
