Duck Bay Cottage 1 is praised for its stunning views, well-presented rooms, and thoughtful welcome pack. Guests appreciate the ample space, especially in the garden, and the proximity to Duck Bay restaurant. The maintenance team is noted for their prompt and professional service. While the kitchen and gate access require improvement, the overall experience is highly recommended for both families and groups.
The cottage is generally clean with well-presented rooms and provided towels. However, a mop bucket with dirty water was left near the hot tub, slightly affecting the cleanliness score.
The location is perfect, offering breathtaking views across the loch and proximity to Duck Bay restaurant and Cameron House. It's ideal for guests' desired experiences.
The cottage provides comfort with lovely decor, TVs in bedrooms, and a well-equipped bathroom. The hot tub adds to the comfort despite being slippery to exit.
Facilities like the hot tub and children's play equipment are appreciated, but the kitchen requires updating and the electric gates need better access options.
The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch, enhancing guests' arrival experience. However, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Rented both cottages as a family group of 9, aged 14-80. Beautiful location, plenty of parking, lovely hot tubs and very comfortably/tastefully decorated. Beds are super comfy and kitchens are well equipped. Each had a ground floor double bedroom so good for those with mobility issues. Lots of garden space front and back. Might be trickier for a group of friends as only one bathroom in each. Only slight bugbear was that there could be more hanging/drawer space given we all had wet swimming gear and towels from the hot tubs, plus normal bathroom towels etc; we all had pretty heavy coats/scarves/hats for the wet weather and there weren't many hooks/hangers in the bedrooms for day-to-day stuff either. Had a lovely cocktail on our last night at the Duck Bay Hotel which we'd recommend too. Would definitely stay here again.

Arrival: we arrived quite late on Friday evening. Pulled up outside Duck Bay Hotel reception and the lady on the desk was lovely. Gave me the keys, took the security deposit and gave me instructions for the gates. We got to the cottage which is literally 30 seconds drive from the hotel. The gates are very slow opening but with patience they will eventually open fully. The cottage: We woke up the next morning and looked at the cottage properly.THE VIEW - WOW!! Stunning. The location is perfect for what we wanted too. The decor in all rooms was lovely and well done. The bathroom was clean and had both bath and shower. All towels provided. The bedrooms were lovely. All had TVs.There is a small travel cot and a pull out bed stored in the wardrobe upstairs. Kitchen: this would be my only area of critique. The kitchen is dated and doesn’t match the rest of the cottage. The wrap on the cupboards is peeling off and the “integrated” dishwasher and washing machine aren’t fitted overly well. The dishwasher catches and has to be opened from the sides. The kitchen just needs updating.Hot tub: we did use the hot tub and found the tumble dryer also situated out there. There was a mop bucket with dirty water left which wasn’t ideal as it left an unpleasant smell in the room. The hot tub worked fine and was lovely and warm!Overall we would LOVE to stay here again. It was lovely and we felt like it was a home away from home. Would recommend to anyone!

Lovely cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Amazing views across the loch. The team at Duck Bay were brilliant. We arrived in the middle of a storm and the cottage was without power so they put us up in the hotel instead. We also reported an issue with the electric gates and the maintenance team were over in 15minutes to sort it out.
