The Cottage at Cauldcoats is a charming former stable which has been converted into a great holiday cottage in what seems like the middle of nowhere. It’s easy to forget that you’re less than a mile from junction 3 of the M9 motorway and 2 miles from the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow. When you’re not out enjoying the fruits of Linlithgow’s shops, bars and restaurants, or at Blackness enjoying the castle or a walk on the beach, then the cottage offers a peaceful sanctuary to gather yourselves and relax with a cuppa or a glass of wine.
Through the door and down three small steps, along the hallway and there is the bright open plan living area with skylight windows. On summer days open the formal stable doors and relax in the outside seating area where you can enjoy the sounds of the countryside. Beach 1 mile. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Excellent converted stable with plenty of room in a very quiet countryside location. Shelagh and Jim are welcoming hosts. Lovely Linlithgow is just 2 miles down the road with supermarkets, lots of tea shops, and a great artisan market on the first Saturday of the month. Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Stirling are easily reached on the train for days out.

We had an excellent time here. The cottage was clean with everything we could ask for and was excellent value for money . The couple who owned it were very helpful and really nice and made you feel welcome.The cottage itself was in a perfect setting in the country but close enough to all the big cities around it . There was plenty shops pretty local too. With a couple of eateries close by for breakfast or lunch .I would highly recommend this cottage
