As part of their wildlife recording, the cottage owners regularly undertake moth trapping sessions which guests are welcome to attend, rapidly becoming a favourite activity for younger guests. We enjoyed our stay at Curlew cottage. The location is perfect for Rhosneigr and surrounding areas. Ceiling height is rather low in the bedroom- you have to be careful not to bang your head.

Curlew Cottage is perfect for 2 people and a doggy companion, the cottage is very clean, well equipped and has a lovely little self enclosed garden. The owners (Mandy & Glen) have literally thought of everything and are close by if you need anything extra or any help/advice. They have left lots of helpful information in the cottage which we found very helpful during our stay. The surrounding area of the cottage is lovely with the butterfly fields opposite, perfect for a little evening stroll.Holyhead is beautiful, the beaches are within easy reach and they are all clean and very picturesque - the parking is a little expensive but if your going for the whole day and take lunches with you it will cost around £15 per car, which isn't expensive for a full day out! We didn't eat out as our dog is a nuisance! However there are lots of places to eat in the area if you have a better dog than us!!There is a local shop just a few minutes drive from the cottage. We would 100% recommend the cottage and will definitely be booking again. The cottage next door is larger but doesn't have a secure garden.
