Gloriously positioned on Holyhead Mountain, affording sweeping views of the harbour, the famous breakwater and the Snowdonia mountains beyond, this traditional, detached cottage is one of the oldest properties on the mountain. It is bursting with charm, has traditional features and a beautifully kept enclosed terraced garden, perfect for sitting out on a summers evening and taking in the superb panoramic views. This charming holiday home is ideally located to enjoy wonderful scenic walks and cycle trails to the mountain summit right from the doorstep.
South Stack Lighthouse is within minutes of the cottage, and is a well renowned rspb reserve; the cliffs are a haven for breeding seabird colonies and puffins, whilst the sea below is home to grey seals.
The bustling port of Holyhead, for day trips to Ireland, is only a short drive. Golf, fishing, sailing, pony trekking and the Snowdonia National Park are all easily accessible, as are Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris castles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

A beautiful cottage with fantastic views. The gardens are enclosed and are very relaxing with the garden furniture including sun loungers. The cottage is very well equipped and very clean. The mezzanine sitting area is lovely. It is an excellent location to travel to the many beaches and coves with the majority being dog friendly all year round. Our 5 year old Labrador had the best time running on the beaches and swimming in the sea. The marina/harbour area is lovely with a small number of eating places and pubs to enjoy food and drink after a lovely day at the beach, a coastal walk or a walk around a nature reserve. We had a really lovely week at Fferam Gorniog.

What a truly wonderful cottage and that made a truly wonderful holiday. A traditional stone cottage half way up Holyhead Mountain overlooking Snowdonia - absolutely idyllic spot. First impressions were impressive & it didn't disappoint after closer inspection at all. It has gorgeous gardens with proper furniture so sitting outside to enjoy the view was easy and it also meant we had a proper enclosed garden for our dog. The cottage had been painstaking renovated and the attention to detail was superb. The rooms were spotless, the furniture was so comfortable and it felt like real care had gone into making it like home. We loved the Loft lounge - it was our evening den! so unusual to get two proper seating areas in a small cottage. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and gave us a taste for Welsh Cakes that lasted all holiday! There is even specific touches for your pooch and although the details had said a small dog, we had emailed before booking to enquire if we could bring our rather large Goldie and they said yes - am so glad we asked!! We met the owners and also had a text when we arrived asking if we needed anything. From start to finish, we loved the cottage, its atmosphere, its location - everything about it. We came back fully rested and firm in our opinion that this is one of the nicest places we have stayed in. We can see why people go back year after year..............
