Really nice cottage and was clean. But lacked a lot of things! For a place that sleeps 10 people for a weekend you’d think they’d be enough knives and folks, places to sit, toilet paper, dish washer tablets and cooking equipment etc. but didn’t. If you’re planning on cooking just bring all equipment from home and to not expect to sit all together and you’ll be okay! Also nightmare checking in! You have to chase cottages.com to chase the owner to get another phone number to call to get details. No apologies. Overall place is nice just needs above to just improve

A few tweaks could make for a much better customer experience. Access- email stated the key lock code would be sent prior to arrival, it never was and it took 2 text messages and 3 phone calls to get it. If the email stated how to get in touch, it would be much easier. Once we got in, there was no welcome pack, so no information about equipment,WiFi passwords, recycling info, local info etc.Equipment- really lacking in equipment. There was an oven, but no baking trays or dishes, so luckily we had bought pizzas which could go straight on the racks. There was a bbq (which was filthy) but no utensils for it. There was no clothes line or clothes horse. The hottub, when we arrived we suspected it hadn't been cleaned, the headrests were in a bush in the garden for reasons unknown and unfortunately on the last day, my daughter caught her foot on some glass in the bottom. Although its a property for 10, there were only 6 dining chairs, 1 of which was broken and another so rickety, we didn't test it. Overall, the place felt unloved and it didn't feel like much thought had been put into the customer experience at any point. It's a lovely spot to explore from and we still had a lovely time but wouldn't stay here again.
