This detached former guest house has panoramic views of the Cors Caron Nature Reserve and over to the Cambrian Mountains. Close to the Ystwyth Trail, skirting Cors Caron Nature Reserve, which links Tregaron with Aberystwyth. It is ideal for walkers, bird watchers and cyclists. The property overlooks Cors Caron and the River Teifi, which is renowned for its salmon fishing. The property has fishing rights on the river. Explore the mountains, visit Strata Florida Abbey ruins. Visit the narrow gauge railway, historic castle and beach at Aberystwyth (16 miles) or Aberaeron with its picturesque harbour (17 miles). Visit the old market town of Machynlleth, with its Centre for Alternative Technology or Corris, with a craft centre and King Arthur’s Labyrinth. The historic market town of Tregaron (1 mile) has shops, pubs and restaurants.

We all wished we had booked for longer!! The owners, Rob and Gwen, were responsive with our questions before arrival, nothing was any trouble and we knew they were on hand should we have needed anything during our stay - but we didn't!! There were 10 adults and 4 teenage children in our group and we had more than enough space, beds, seating, washrooms and kitchen facilities. We did all our own meals with more than enough crockery, cutlery, glass wear to spare. The children loved exploring outside, watching the red kites circle above us and we were only a couple minutes drive away from a very well stocked Spar. The cottage was everything as advertised and more, you will not be disappointed. A blissful retreat, thank you for making our family feel so welcome, I have no doubt we will be back!!

A group of 9 friends spent a lovely few days here, the house layout suited us well, a good choice of downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. The sitting room was just adequate for us, gathering together in evenings. A scattering of cushions would have been nice. The kitchen equipment seemed a bit strange, no ice trays, for example, though the owner quickly brought us some. Everywhere was lovely and clean, the beds comfortable, the views from the dining room wonderful. Many thanks to the very friendly and helpful owners.
