Bryn Derw is a charming cottage praised for its quiet, peaceful setting and lovely interiors. Guests appreciate its rural location, ideal for walks and enjoying North Wales' attractions. While some found the cottage well-equipped and clean, others noted areas needing improvement, such as Wi-Fi, natural light, and maintenance. The property's approach and amenities received mixed reviews, yet many guests expressed a desire to return, highlighting its comfort and the welcoming hamper.
The cottage received compliments for being clean and well-presented, with several guests specifically mentioning its cleanliness. However, there were isolated comments about some kitchen utensils not being clean, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its rural charm and proximity to attractions like Bodnant Garden and Snowdonia. The peaceful setting is a highlight, although some guests found the approach via steep roads challenging.
Guests found the cottage comfortable, with cosy beds and sofas, and a warm atmosphere. However, there were remarks about the need for better mattresses and a more luxurious feel to match the description, which affects the score.
Mixed reviews were given for the facilities. Some guests were satisfied with the equipment and the welcome hamper, while others reported issues with heating, Wi-Fi, and maintenance concerns like a leaky shower and temperamental oven.
While guests mentioned a lovely welcome hamper, there are not enough reviews discussing other thoughtful touches to accurately score this category. It's important to note that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.
