For the outdoor lover, find the multi-level, enclosed rear garden, with its patio and decked area, where you can dine alfresco, light the barbecue, and store your bikes and outdoor equipment, whilst your furry companion safely roams; here you will also find access to the external utility, housing a washing machine, tumble dryer and further storage space. Take a journey through the history-rich town of Llangollen, with its Victorian architecture, independent shops, welcoming eateries, including The Corn Mill and The Three Eagles, and taverns, where you can also enjoy a stroll across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the longest navigable aqueduct in Britain. While in town, be sure to visit the Llangollen Railway, the Plas Newydd House and Gardens, the Llangollen Wharf Museum, and the Llangollen Motor Museum, before hiking through the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you’re looking to explore further afield, head to Ruthin, a charming market town full of independent boutiques and eateries, or to the walled city of Chester, with its iconic rows, magnificent cathedral, and the family-friendly Chester Zoo. Whatever adventure you choose to embark on, 18 Church Street is the perfect base for a memorable break.

The beautiful Vale of Llangollen, with its dramatic mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee is the setting for this pretty tourist town, internationally famous for its Musical Eisteddfod. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, in order to enjoy the breathtaking view. Llangollen offers a good range of pubs and restaurants, as well as many interesting shops. Keep entertained with an exhilarating trip whitewater rafting down the River Dee, followed by an adventurous Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or for a more leisurely experience, unwind with a relaxing afternoon in one of the local spas! The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’. Offa’s Dyke Path passes nearby and boasts pleasant walking along the crest of the Clwyd hills, plus the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a World Heritage Site, is 5 miles away, and Snowdonia is less than an hour’s drive.

The owners have done a fantastic job at renovating the property and it’s been done to a very high standard (we loved the photo book). Really easy to find and access the cottage. The house was absolutely immaculate and I’m very picky. Loved the garden and the garden furniture, which was really comfy. We even sat out in the rain in the undercover section with a glass of wine. Parking was extremely easy and the cheapest in Llangollen. It was very reasonably priced (about £2 for 24hrs), so make sure you book for your whole stay in advance to secure a spot. It’s a brilliant app to find parking anywhere, we’ll definitely use it again. The children loved the secret garden entrance, it’s a genius idea and really easy to unload your belongings from the car. The cottage is located close to the centre, so we didn’t need to use the car for our whole stay. The cottage was lovely and warm with comfy beds and a great sized tv. We played some of the board games in the evening (thank you). If you are considering booking this property, we can highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed, it is exactly as described and a whole lot more. We loved it and loved our stay. Thank you

It has been beautifully and sympathetically restored and definitely has the wow factor when you come in. It's so cosy with the wood burner and the lounge is very tastefully and comfortably decorated. Lovely modern kitchen and bathroom and we loved the garden area with the fabulous undercover seating area. We had the best nights sleep in a long time. The bedrooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was fabulous to see the story of the restoration, a true labour of love. The location of the cottage is great, very central and some lovely pubs and eateries in the town. Would 100% recommend this cottage and if we return to Llangollen would definitely stay there again.
