The cottage is well placed for a wonderful view of the river. It has quite a steep staircase inside, so on three levels, so not ideal for the young, or very old! But it was clean and had a lovely modern bathroom with a good shower. Id love bigger towels; these were too small for a grown up. And personally Id expect (and really appreciate) 100% cotton sheets, and better pillows as youd find in a hotel, whereas these were not. But they were clean. And the double bed was huge. We were there for a wedding, so a long mirror anywhere would have been useful. Didnt use any of the other rooms, but I expect it would feel homey quickly if you were staying for longer. Would really also appreciate a parking space, near the house; there isnt one for a normal car, so I had quite a walk to find one the main road (a very long double yellow line so no legal parking within eyesight of the cottage) which was a worry overnight. The host was very helpful with info and texts for checking in.
