Lodge 2 - Bron Eifion is a fine lodge in Criccieth, Gwynedd, with off-road parking for one car, lake views, and a decked area that looks out across woodland and open countryside. Arrive and let the setting set the pace; a sweep of trees, water close by, and the sense that the day can be shaped by fresh air, shoreline walks, and slow meals shared. Step inside and you’ll find a wooden, rustic interior that suits the landscape outside, with everything arranged across a single-storey layout. The open-plan living space brings the kitchen, dining area, and sitting area together, making it easy to keep conversation flowing while supper is on the go or the kettle boils for a post-walk brew.
When evening rolls in, settle into the sitting area with the TV, then drift back to one of two bedrooms, a double and a twin, offering a straightforward, flexible setup for couples, friends, or a small family. A shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC rounds things off neatly, ready for rinsing off sandy feet after time by the coast. For days out, consider exploring Criccieth itself for seaside ambience, then branch out to places such as Pwllheli, Porthmadog, and Abersoch for harbourside strolls, browsing, and beach time. However you choose to spend your break, Lodge 2 - Bron Eifion makes a lovely base for lakeside and coastal days.

Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, now known as Eryri, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th-century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Eryri mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Eryri National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream. Further afield, attractions such as Portmeirion’s wonderful Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle and the beautiful beaches and renowned golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula are all within an easy drive.
