Perched on the coast in Abersoch is this fabulous, detached house, Melville House. Featuring reverse-level accommodation that showcases style throughout, this is a brilliant setting for a large family seaside holiday. After parking on one of the generous spaces for four cars, venture up to the first floor to discover an excellent open-plan living space, enjoying a bright and spacious interior and containing a sitting area that is ideal for relaxation; with plush sofas surrounding a fluffy rug and TV with Freeview, along with being basked in natural light via the large sliding doors. The kitchen is a marvellous spot, with contemporary fittings and high-quality appliances, including a large fridge/freezer and dishwasher; the kitchen additionally hosts a handy breakfast bar that seats up to four people. The dining table is a stylish setting for dinner, with studded seating for you to settle down on. After dinner, enjoy a summers’ evening out on the large balcony, where you can spend quality time with your group as you recount the day’s adventures. When night falls, you can find two inviting bedrooms on the first floor, one being a double and the other being a twin; the rooms benefit from use of a sleek shower room with contemporary tiling and a double walk-in shower. Descend the stairs to the ground floor to come across two more bedrooms, one being a lovely king-size with ample, built-in storage and a fabulous en-suite shower room where you will find a double walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head, along with a double bunk room that is ideal for the little ones. Finishing off the ground-floor is another snug room where those seeking a little more privacy, or the kids can relax as they watch the TV; the snug opens out to a raised terrace where you can make the most of the ample seating available as you enjoy a morning coffee or captivating book. Climb down the stairs from the terrace to find a large patio with sun loungers, as well as an extensive rear lawn that is ideal for ball games. A Short walk brings you into the centre of Abersoch, where you sample the local delicacies in the array of eateries at-hand, before wandering down to the village’s beaches where you can simply sunbathe on the soft sands or try your hand at sailing with the help of Abersoch Sailing School. Travel along the coastline, by the Llŷn Coastal Path or by car, to find the lovely village of Llanbedrog, where a fabulous art gallery, extensive beach and ample walking routes through the coastal scenery await. Venture west to Hells Mouth Beach, stopping the quaint village of Llanengan on the way, where you can explore its sprawling sands and paddle along the shores, before continuing to the historic attraction of Plas yn Rhiw for an afternoon in a 16th century manor house. The area is home to plenty of sights to see, including the nature reserve resting on Mynydd Mawr, and the abundant settlements that have made the Llŷn Peninsula their home, including the market town of Pwllheli. There is so much joy to be had from Melville House.
Abersoch, an idyllic harbour village rests on the western side of the Llyn Peninsula, Gwynedd. Enjoying access to two beautiful beaches, where watersports will feel at home, thanks to the surfboard rentals, sailing and yacht club, whilst also providing guests with ample eateries, shops and bars to visit; this village is the perfect destination for a seaside break.
