Reviewers unanimously commend the spotless condition of the property, highlighting its immaculate presentation and the care taken to maintain its cleanliness.

The property's location is celebrated for its tranquility and beautiful views, with easy access to local attractions. A few guests desired more local amenity information, but the overall sentiment is highly positive.

About this property

Crymych 1.9 miles. This beautiful detached dairy conversion is situated in one of the most picturesque locations within the National Park close to the village of Crymych in Pembrokeshire. Situated in the shadow of the Iron Age hill fort of Foel Drygarn, Old Tethers Barn offers far reaching countryside views over surrounding farmland. Retaining charm and character, you enter the cottage through the porch door where there is a space to leave your coats and boots after your outdoor walks and a utility/cloakroom with WC and basin. Step up a small step into a delightful snug, with a slightly sloping floor, where a comfy sofa will be the ideal place to relax with a good book or maybe sit at the writing desk overlooking the open countryside to pen a postcard to friends and family.

A small step up from the snug brings you into the open plan living room which has apex beams and a woodburner for those cooler evenings. Cook up special meals or prepare a picnic in the well-equipped kitchen to enjoy a choice of eating places. One step up leads you into the ground floor bedroom and into the family bathroom, where a quick shower or a long relaxing soak in the claw foot bath beckons. A complete stay here will refresh you, but don't miss the array of days out on the nearby coast with sandy beaches, the famous coast path and boat trips.

Alternatively, visit historic castles or walk on the Preseli Hills, before stepping back in time with a visit to the Shire Horse Centre. Returning to such a perfect cottage to plan the next day out will be one of the pleasures of your stay in Wales.

The village of Crymych is found in the rambling Pembrokeshire countryside, close to the fabulous Preseli Mountains where sheep and wild horses amble, with cattle grids on either side to keep them on the mountain. The village itself has a good choice of local shops, while the bustling market town of Cardigan is a 20 minute drive away and boasts a selection of unique shops, along with tea rooms, pubs, two cinemas, a modern theatre and a live music venue. Cardigan is also home to a large beach called Poppit Sands, which is ideal for relaxing in the summer and also perfect for an exhilarating winter walk. The Iron Age fort of Castell Henllys is nearby, providing a great day out for all the family, while there are a number of walks and cycle trails to explore. An ideal location, within easy reach of all that Pembrokeshire has to offer.

Old Tether Barn is spacious, comfortable, extremely well equipped and has several gorgeous outside seating areas in the garden to enjoy the stunning views. Sue and Rod have lovingly restored the barn and are the perfect hosts, our thanks to them for sharing this lovely spot with us. We hope to return.

The accommodation was relaxing, cosy and comfortable. We used this location to explore this area for the first time. Visited Cardigan, Newport, Fishguard, St David’s, Pembroke Castle and Tenby.

Tastefully designed, decorated and spacious we highly recommend this romantic breakaway in Pembrokeshire. Set in a quiet rural location this truly is a property with stunning views, lots of indoor & outdoor seating areas for your relaxation. It was so peaceful, super clean & comfortable and has everything you'll need in a cupboard or drawer somewhere, including lots of stuff you never thought you'd need. It is without doubt one of the Best Cottages we have rented in the past 15yrs. Ideally situated for our daily trips out to Poppet Sands, Cenarth Falls, New Quay, Dinas Head, Newgale, Solva, and Broadhaven South with it's crystal clear water & the finest sand we have ever experienced. We cannot recommend this property highly enough. Jon & Nan
