The Tower sleeping up to 2 guests

The Tower, situated in the beautiful Welsh countryside, is in an ideal position for exploring the southern counties of Wales.
The Tower really does provide guests with the ultimate luxury retreat, nestling peacefully in the rolling Welsh countryside. This traditional, Pembrokeshire former Estate barn has been converted to the highest standard, and is set within the owners’ former working farm. It is only a 10-minute drive from a host of beaches, coves and rugged cliffs to discover on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. This former coach house has been lovingly restored to provide guests with an unforgettable holiday experience. Amazing attention to detail has been taken to ensure all the character and charm has been retained, including brick archways and solid oak floors. The Tower has been furnished to an exceptionally high standard and boasts a bespoke open plan kitchen and dining area, with focal mezzanine for enjoying a good book, or enjoying those breathtaking views over the countryside. You can prepare that special meal in this executive, hand made kitchen, which has a gas American wolf range top, fridges by Sub-Zero, a Belfast sink, two dishwashers and Quooker tap for instant hot water. On a summer’s day you can open the bi-fold doors which lead out onto the courtyard.
The historic city of St Davids is within easy reach, and is renowned for its magnificent 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of the Bishops Palace. The beaches of Broad Haven, Little Haven and Newgale are close by, and for a truly unforgettable experience, take a boat trip to Skomer Island, a national nature reserve, to uncover all this area has to offer. Skomer is host to nearly half the world’s population of Manx Shearwaters that nest on the island. Puffins, grey seals and guillemots are all a regular sight. For a relaxing day out, visit the beautiful walled town of Tenby, complete with cobbled streets and craft shops, or enjoy fish and chips on the harbour wall. Beach 5 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    Martin – 16 Sep 2018
"It has a high standard of fittings and fixtures but the excellent kitchen is let down by very few cooking utensils. Only 2 towels had been put, no instructions on the heating. We were also not sure if the washing machine, freezer & bikes in the barn could be used by us. Much more information on the property needs to be in the file."
    Angela – 15 Sep 2018
"A very tasteful holiday let. Everything was very good quality and thought about. It was nice to have matching crockery, cutlery etc. A lovely position looking onto the attractive courtyard. The Masons Arms, a very short distance away, had good pub food. A good base for touring the area. A nice welcome pack, thank you. My only criticism is that I don't like TV's on the wall!"
    Anthony – 30 Aug 2018
"Excellent property, excellent hosts, quiet location 10 minutes to beach, great value for money. Would love to stay there again sometime. Great advice and recommendations as well. Highly recommended."
    Mandy – 28 Aug 2018
"The Tower is located in a quiet location, a couple of miles outside Haverfordwest and is attached to the owners property. From the moment you arrive you can see that the cottage has been finished to a high standard and that the owners have spent a lot of time and money on the property and its beautiful gardens. Both John and Pickles (their dog), were welcoming. While we really enjoyed staying at the Tower and found the cottage clean and comfortable, we did feel that there should be blinds on the large windows in the kitchen and on the main door for privacy, as at times we felt like we were in a fish bowl. A few points for information - Every time you access the cottage you need to go through a well lit storage room. The door is next to the parking area, as both entrances for the Tower are located in the courtyard. This is also where the key box, washing machine and freezer is located. The fridge isn't a normal fridge, but two fridge draws, so you cannot stand large items up (like milk or bottles of pop).Lastly if you have a dog, there is no separate garden for the cottage, as the Tower guests, you share the courtyard and main gardens with the owner. This wasn't a big problem for us as Pickles is a really friendly dog, but a word of warning is that there is no main gate, so you really need to keep a close eye on your dog, when using the main part of the garden."

"For a holiday for two people and our two small dogs the Tower was a perfect place to stay . Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the acccomodation was extremely cosy and quiet, situated perfectly to explore the Pembrokeshire towns and coastline. Kitchen and bathroom ( wonderful shower) were spotless, spacious with very modern up market equipment. We left after a week and thoroughly recommend a visit....go on treat yourself!!!"

"A very comfortable stay in lovely accommodation, situated in a beautiful part of Pembrokeshire. Ideal for visiting the various sites that South Wales has to offer."
    Vanessa – 7 Jul 2018
"Gorgeous property in a stunning very tranquil location. The owners were very welcoming and friendly as was their dog with ours! The kitchen is stunning but if you are planning on doing much cooking it was a little short on cooking equipment. This was no problem for us as we found lots of lovely places to eat out."
    Pete – 3 Jun 2018
"Absolutely brilliant. John and Claire were lovely and made us very welcome. We loved watching John's daily gardening projects. The Tower is snug and romantic, with lots of modern gadgets. As a location, very good; lots to do and see within a half hour drive. Regret we didn't have longer."
    BRIAN – 26 May 2018
"The accommodation was the very best we have stayed in - exceptional - we would highly recommend. Everything was of a high standard with a lot of thought being put into every detail. The kitchen was superb with everything you would need in a holiday home complimented by the large windows giving lots of light. The area with the sun shining was beautiful. The owners John and Clare; were very helpful and on hand with local knowledge. A good base for touring Pembroke."
    Philippa – 15 May 2018
"The cottage was exactly what we expected it to be and what the images showed.A lot of time, effort, love and money was put into the cottage. Met the owners, who are lovely people and very helpful. The dog was a bit scared ;DThe only thing that was missing, like previous reviews have mentioned is the lack of curtains in the kitchen and front door. Especially at night you have a feel of lack of privacy. But overall one of the best cottages we have stayed in. I loved the kitchen!"
    Mike – 9 May 2018
"Excellent cottage, done to a really high spec, we really enjoyed our stay. A really good base for all locations in Pembrokeshire. Would not hesitate to recommend to others."
    David/Kathy – 29 Apr 2018
"There is private and secure parking when you arrive just outside the Tower. Besides the accommodation itself there is a separate storage room where there is a freezer, washing machine and ample storage for bikes, canoes and there is also a patio set that can be used in the courtyard if the weather permits. There is also a stunning courtyard. The accommodation is as good as it looks in the photos. A beautiful kitchen more than appropriately stocked for two people with all basic requirements of salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, chilli flakes, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, tea towels etc, not to mention quality pans and crockery. There is a 4-ring gas hob, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, fridge (freezer as mentioned earlier). The living room is large, modern and spacious with a large TV screen on the wall with Freeview, whilst there is no DVD player, you can twin the TV to your devices. We had a laptop with us so twinned it to the TV and watched DVD's and logged onto our own BT account. We also got to see our holiday photos in this manner.Leading off from the front room is the bedroom and shower room. A very modern, stylish and practical bathroom, with a good spacious shower, two sinks, a storage cupboard with spare loo rolls, dust pan and brush, iron and ironing board and hanging space for clothes. The towels and shower mat were of very good quality and there are spares in the lower drawer of the cabinet in the front room. Shower gel, hand wash and lotion are provided. The shower room has a connecting door to the bedroom which has spotlessly clean and comfortable bedding and ample plug sockets at each side of the bed. There is a dresser with mirror and hair dryer and seat. The property is heated throughout with underfloor heating which seems to be controllable in each room and there is a heated towel rail in the shower room. It’s obvious that the work undertaken has been done with a great deal of love and care and it already looks amazing with the large wooden gateway in the courtyard being stunning. The grounds are well kept and great, with ample safe space for kids or a dog. The owners are helpful but unobtrusive. You do need a car for here if you want to get out and about but it’s the positioning of the property that gives you the great feeling of seclusion and privacy. There is a Tesco Extra and large Morrison's Supermarket within 2-3 miles and free-range eggs are available just down the road. There is no downside to this place, it was worth every penny, my only comment, which is not a criticism would be that shutters or blinds would be good in the kitchen although I have the feeling that they may already be on the agenda if the other accommodation on site is anything to go by."
