Set on the side of the ancient pilgrims' road from the village of St Davids to St Davids Head, it was originally the farmhouse to a smallholding and attached to a stone barn - now converted into the owner's home. The two are independent of one another and Summer Cottage has its own garden to the rear with gentle terraces, shrubs and a paved patio with outdoor furniture.
There is ample off-road parking for two cars and plenty of space to park boards and bikes. By the shared drive there is private space with a bench and plants - the perfect place for catching the afternoon sun.
The location is lovely - views from the cottage are through shuttered windows - to the front to Carn Llidi mountain', east to Penberi and the rising sun and to the rear over the fields to the rooftops of St Davids. Exactly half way between the village and the beach - it is an easy walk in either direction.
The cottage has an individual relaxed style with an eclectic collection of artwork and a focus on comfort and ease.
Coming in by the side door - quarry tiles, coat hooks and boot rack - you can leave the trappings of your day's adventures and step up into the open plan dining room/kitchen. Perhaps you will light the wood burner, put on the kettle, start up a game - or just settle into a comfy chair and read a good book.
With cheerful seaside colours, the bedrooms are uncluttered, the beds inviting. The two ensuite bath and shower rooms have ample space and bespoke bathroom furniture, giving a sense of well-being and luxury.
