About this property
This former farmhouse kitchen and servants' quarters dating from the 14th century, has now been totally renovated to provide stylish and contemporary living with traditional features.
There are views of the coastline from the land behind the cottage, from Strumble Head to St Davids and the Pembrokeshire coast path can be easily joined by walking across two fields. There are plenty of beaches, harbours and coves to explore including Abereiddy, Porthgain Harbour, Whitesands, Traethllyfn, the Blue Lagoon and Abermawr. The cottage is 3 miles from St Davids which has a super selection of individual shops, galleries and eateries. Porthgain has a very welcoming pub called The Sloop Inn and an award winning restaurant called The Shed, both loved by locals and holiday makers alike.
The city of St Davids is situated on the far south west coast of Wales. Granted city status by Queen Elizabeth II, it is the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral dating back to the 12th century and the ruins of the Bishop's Palace, both wonderful buildings to explore. Situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, St Davids is a delightful place with an array of unique shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs, surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery. Nearby Whitesands Bay is one of the many beautiful beaches in the area, and walkers will delight in the spectacular views from the coastal path which runs around the complete coastline of Pembrokeshire. Local buses will help with your walking plans, so that you can walk several stretches of the path with totally different landscapes and views each day. Dolphin spotting from land or from the many boat trips to local islands are a must, and are also perfect for enjoying the wonderful array of birds in their natural habitat. St Davids is the perfect holiday destination, whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing break, wonderful walking, a round of golf, an exploration of magnificent castles or fun-filled days at Oakwood Theme Park, farm parks and much more.

Other nearby areas. Mrs Rees is adorable and helpful. The only negative was the size of the bath towels. Would prefer bigger bath sheets. Some people might not like being attached to the other holiday let. Didnât bother us. We basically used the cottage to have a base and was out most of the time during our week stay. Ate out in Porthgain at both the Shed and the Sloop. In Solva at the Cambrian inn also the Hat and barrel In St Davidâs at the Grain and the Cross hotel. All were good atmosphere food nice and service attentive. Booking recommend as was busy and turning people away. Visited The Cathedral at St Davidâs, went on a boat trip from St Justinain. White sands beach, Newgale, Abereilly and Blue Lagoon Fishguard all worth a visit and nearby.

The fabulous Whitesands Bay and St Davidâs are a ten minute drive away. The cottage is joined to another holiday let which is not obvious from the description on the Sykes website but it didnât really affect us. We had several evenings playing cricket in the Secret Garden. Unfortunately we felt that the standards of cleanliness could have been higher.

Lovely location with a short walk to the coastal path.very quiet too. Spacious cottage and comfy beds.just a short drive to whitesands Bay make it ideal for a summer beach holiday.
