Yr Hen Gof is a charming, spacious cottage praised for its great location and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including local produce, and the proximity to good pubs and walking areas. While some noted the need for TLC and better pillows, the overall experience is one of a pleasant and relaxing stay.
The cottage is generally described as clean, with guests feeling comfortable during their stay. No specific complaints about cleanliness were mentioned.
The location is highly regarded, with the cottage being in close proximity to a pub and within a good distance for exploring Pembrokeshire. The village setting is also appreciated.
Guests find the cottage cosy and warm, with comfortable beds. However, some guests mentioned that the pillows could be improved and the shower temperature was not consistent.
The cottage is equipped with a well-stocked kitchen and has a pleasant garden. Some guests noted the property could benefit from some maintenance and suggested an information book would be a helpful addition.
The hosts are noted for their thoughtfulness, with a kind welcome of local produce on arrival. While this gesture is greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are offered at the hosts' discretion and may not be a consistent feature.

Loved the location of the cottage looked impressive when we first arrived however there are a few issues I think need to be sorted in order to give it 5 stars. Firstly the sofa and chairs in the living area are extremely uncomfortable the cushion have hardly any filling and are flat so no support which was a shame. The pillows on the double bed need replacing they are old and flat. I didn't understand why you would have 2 single duvets on a double bed. The shower was hit and miss the plastic mat had black mould on it so but disappointed. We left 2 days earlier than booked because the weather changed and wasn't comfortable enough to sit in and watch TV.

Comfortable stay but the the cottage is in need of some TLC. Great location especially with the Farmers Arms in walking distance for decent pub grub

Everything we wanted for a lovely week in this idyllic Welsh village. A very kind welcome of local produce greeted us on arrival, which was very welcome after a 5 hour journey. The place was clean and cozy, and had everything we needed for our stay. Our hosts were welcoming but not intrusive and we would highly recommend a stay at the Old Smithy / Yr Hen Gof.
