Guests say

Point House is a spacious and comfortable cottage with stunning views, particularly from the balcony. Guests appreciate the modern kitchen, ample space for large groups, and the proximity to the Marina. While some maintenance issues are noted, the property's charm and location are well-regarded.

The property's cleanliness received mixed feedback. While some guests found it to a high standard, others noted areas that could be improved, such as the presence of old dog food and a need for better cleaning. The outside courtyard was also described as dirty and tired.

The location is highly praised for its fantastic views and proximity to the Marina. The balcony overlooking the estuary is a highlight, although the view of the refinery is noted. The location is not ideal for those with mobility issues.

Guests found the beds comfortable and the rooms spacious. However, some guests mentioned that the living area could feel cramped for the maximum number of guests, and the central heating was difficult to adjust.

The modern kitchen and guest Netflix account are appreciated, but several maintenance issues were reported, such as a non-functional shower, a toaster and coffee machine not fully working, and a need for slip-proof mats in showers.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner, aside from good communication. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

Absolutely loved our stay here, and would highly recommend. Plenty of space for our large group and really was a home from home! It had everything we needed for our stay including a guest Netflix account! Really good communication from Sally (the owner), who happily took time out of her day to talk us through how to use the very snazzy oven. The pictures on the website really don't do justice to how lovely the property is, or the fantastic view.

The property looked very uninviting from the outside, it was full of weeds by the front door and patio doors, the downstairs lounge was smelly and the 2 sofas were ready for the tip and downstairs bedroom smelled damp, the kitchen was amazing and very modern the balcony could have done with a deep clean, upstairs bedrooms were comfortable, the copper bath and sink needed replacing, they were probably amazing when they were new, the outside courtyard was dirty and tired, no way would anyone sit out there to relax, the view was amazing from the balcony

Loved the house, was large enough for our group of 7. Living area would have been a little cramped if hosting 11 which the property can take but saying that you had an additional lounge downstairs. The only negative is (and probably our fault) we couldnt turn the central heating off and it was very hot in the morning but once sat on the beautiful balcony with a morning coffee we soon cooled off.
