About this property

One of two shepherd huts set on the Church View cottages site in the hamlet of Rosemarket in Pembrokeshire, is The Hurdle, surrounded by countryside with lovely scenic views of the fields. Perfectly suited for a couples break, you will enjoy romantic close quarters with your loved one in this cute and unique property. With its studio layout you can cook up something using the compact kitchen facilities, a simple tasty dish that you can eat at the breakfast bar, before enjoying a glass of wine outside in the shared garden as you take in the last light on a summer evening. The double bed lies at one end of the hut, with clever hanging and shelf storage on the wall for your personal items. Fire up the woodburning stove in the winter for some extra warmth, and put on a favourite film on the wall-mounted TV. The en-suite shower room lies at the other end, where you can get ready for your day and the adventures it will bring. The Hurdle will be your own secret haven for the week. Note: Property can be booked with Refs. 993724, 993726, 993727, 993728, 993729, 997061, together they can sleep 29 guests.

Situated just off the Cleddau Estuary in the county of Pembrokeshire, you will find this lovely town of Neyland. The town boasts pubs, shops and restaurants as well as a marina. For days out, walk or cycle along the Brunel Cycle Trail or take a cross the Cleddau Bridge to explore the neighbouring Pembroke with Pembroke Docks and the castle where Henry Tudor was born to visit for a great day out.

Other than that, we had a lovely time.

Most holiday lets have a little welcome vase of flowers, or small pack of bisc, or scone and jam and leaflets on surrounding areas. In other words - we expected what you see on the advertising pics! Inside was generally grubby - microwave door needed cleaning, wall hangings full of dust. There was nothing welcoming……… The bed was TINY and we’re 10st and 8st respectively. The worst was a smoke alarm fitted over the bed which had a light flashing in our faces every 30secs. Didn’t get a wink of sleep, left next morning.

Only one thing to suggest, the kettle on the hob took ages to boil, so an electric kettle would make all the difference. If we come again we will bring an electric kettle
